New Forest New Comedian of the Year - Heat 5 at The Attic, Southampton

Only one of 60 new comedians will be titled “New Comedian of the Year.” New Forest New Comedian Festival June 2023 will give the winner of their festival the chance to go to the Museum of Comedy in London to become the “New Comedian of the Year.”

The Attic in Southampton is just one of many venues in the New Forest that will be hosting heats. The audience in each of these venues get to decide who wins, who will then be sent to the finals, which will be held at Hanger Farm on Saturday the 17^th of June.

The winner of New Forest New Comedian Festival June 2023 will get to be a semi-finalist in the national New Comedian of the Year competition at at the Museum of Comedy in London in the Autumn of 2023. The New Comedian of the Year 2023 will have the same title as previous winners Rob Beckett, Rachel Parris, Dane Baptise, Sofie Hagen, Tim Renkow, Nigel Ng (Uncle Roger), Alasdair Beckett-King and Amy Gledhill.

• The competition is free to enter and open to any non-professional act that’s been performing for 5 years or less.
• Entries from character acts, musical acts and sketch groups are welcome.
• All contestants must stick to 5 minutes of material or risk disqualification.
